Established in 1951 by Lily and Alex [Sasha] Aleksiev, Darra Joinery has maintained a name for producing a quality product for a competitive price. In 1981 Alex and Lily retired to the mountains and Sydneysider Mr. John Green acquired Darra Joinery.
Since those times Darra Joinery has gone from strength to strength. We still operate from the same address, although the factory itself has been added to many times. We now have a showroom, much larger factory floor space and a large undercover timber storage space.
We buy our timber stock in large quantities and well in advance so it can be air dried on the premises. This ensures a stable product.
Not many people realise that we also have a cabinet making section and we take pride in producing top quality kitchens and bathroom vanities.
Now, in 2005, even though we might choose to take an old fashioned approach to business, our ideas and products are well suited to today’s requirements.
